Licensure Reform: The case for increasing interstate portability




The boundaries for dentists to simply transfer throughout state traces, aka “portability”/”reciprocity,” has been a sore subject for the dental occupation for a few years. Dr. Jonathan Nash, who served because the American Pupil Dental Affiliation chair of dental licensure reform in 1971, strongly believes that if the occupation can summon the need to pursue an anti-trust initiative on a nationwide foundation, it has an inexpensive likelihood to topple this archaic and egregious barrier in a single fell swoop.

Dr. Nash, the founder and chairman of the Nationwide Council for Enchancment of Dental Licensure 1969-73, examines the state of dental licensure reform as we speak and makes a case for bolder options to attain significant reform.
